Arrive in Moshi and transfer to your hotel. Attend a pre-trek briefing by your guide to go over the route, safety, and gear check. Rest and prepare for the adventure ahead.
After breakfast, transfer to Machame Gate (1,800m) and begin the trek. Walk through the lush rainforest, encountering unique flora and possibly wildlife, before reaching Machame Camp (3,000m) after 6-7 hours of hiking.
Climb out of the rainforest and into a heather and moorland zone. The trek offers panoramic views as you ascend to Shira Camp (3,840m). Hiking time is 5-6 hours.
This is an acclimatization day. Hike from Shira Camp to Lava Tower (4,630m) for lunch, then descend to Barranco Camp (3,960m). This trek of about 7-8 hours enhances acclimatization while enjoying magnificent views of the Western Breach.
Begin the day with a challenging but rewarding scramble up the Barranco Wall. Afterward, trek through a gentle alpine desert to Karanga Camp (4,035m). This 4-5 hour hike provides time to rest and prepare for higher altitudes.
Trek through desolate high-altitude landscapes to Barafu Camp (4,640m), the base camp for your summit attempt. The 3-4 hour hike allows for an early dinner and rest before the midnight summit push.
Begin the climb to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) under the stars, reaching the summit in 6-7 hours to witness an unforgettable sunrise. After celebrating your achievement, descend to Barafu Camp for a short rest, then continue to Mweka Camp (3,100m) for a well-deserved sleep.
Enjoy a relaxed descent through the rainforest to Mweka Gate (1,640m). Collect your summit certificate and transfer back to Moshi for a celebratory dinner and rest.
