Arrive in Moshi and transfer to your hotel. Meet your guide for a pre-trek briefing to review the route, safety measures, and required equipment. Rest and prepare for the adventure ahead.
Drive to Umbwe Gate (1,640m) and begin the trek through the dense rainforest. The trail ascends steeply along ridges with occasional views of the surrounding valleys. Arrive at Umbwe Cave Camp (2,850m) after 5-6 hours of trekking.
Continue ascending through the heath and moorland zone. The steep path offers dramatic views of Kilimanjaro’s southern glaciers and the towering Barranco Wall. Reach Barranco Camp (3,960m) after 5-6 hours of hiking.
Start the day by scaling the iconic Barranco Wall, a challenging yet rewarding scramble. The trek continues with a gentler ascent to Karanga Camp (4,035m), allowing for acclimatization during the 4-5 hour hike.
Ascend through the desolate alpine desert to Barafu Camp (4,640m), the base camp for your summit push. This 3-4 hour trek gives you time to rest and prepare for the midnight ascent.
Begin the challenging climb to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) under the stars. After 6-8 hours of trekking, reach the summit and witness a spectacular sunrise over Africa. Descend back to Barafu Camp for a short break before continuing to Mweka Camp (3,100m) for an overnight rest.
